Behind every cute fingerprint is a strong finger. Bridget Magee has strong fingers. In fact, her fingerprints are all over Wee Words for Wee Ones. She has just the right touch when it comes to poetry, personal essays, and picture books. She was handy in the classroom when she taught elementary school and she had her fingers on the pulse of children's literature when she was a school librarian. Now she is working her fingers to the bone creating Wee Words for Wee Ones poetry, how-to handbooks, and videos - and having fun doing it!
Bridget nimbly completed her MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University where she flexed her fingers and started her writing career. Currently she has her fingers in several pies, so to speak, with her memberships in the Arizona State Poetry Society (ASPS), the Tucson Poetry Society, the National Association for Poetry Therapy, the Arizona chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and Toastmasters International.
When not writing, Bridget's fingers can be found holding the book she is currently reading. She lives with her husband, children, and crazy dog Smidgey all of whom have her wrapped around their fingers (and paw).
Fingers crossed you'll find something you like on my website.
